All About Lily Chou-Chou 2001
Joins “we’re all going to the world’s fair” in the list of movies I’ve seen that seem to get what being online is like. The emotional ideas in this movie feel very genuine (albeit pretty depressing), I found myself really impressed by how little we end up actually knowing about what each character is thinking, it made the movie feel a lot truer in its depiction of people. Not to mention how weird and gorgeous both the structure and the cinematography were the entire way through.
