I’ve never seen more stereotypes in an unironic movie. The Black woman dies first, the only two white women are portrayed as saviours, and the absolute best is when the Asian woman levitates in the ocean and karate-chops a shark ?????

Parasite 2019
I am baffled that this movie is so highly praised; I thought it was obvious and boring. The ‘deeper meanings’ were surface level and spoon-fed. The social commentary lacked subtlety, and the metaphors felt overly contrived. The cinematography was polished and I enjoyed the initial storytelling however the predictable ending was painful.
Overall I was very disappointed, very overrated.
