  This is quite possibly the most warm-hearted film I have ever seen. Every single aspect of it is so charming, the characters, the sets, the framing, the fart jokes and the moments of utter poignancy evoked and gone in just seconds. Ozu is a master, there is no doubt about that. It's effortless to connect when the characters are looking down the barrel.

  If when I go to Canada the folks aren't as nice as this film has lead me to believe, I will be very disappointed. Near perfect pacing and direction. Tight story and excellent cinematography. Also; good natured Canadians.
