Before Sunset 2004
I cannot imagine there‘s almost 10 years time gap between the first and the second film of the before trilogy. Right from the beginning, it reminisced me a lot of the first movie. Even visually with that dreamy filter, both Delphy and Jessi kinda exploring the city of love and just living their life.
While catching up on each other, their conversations are haunted by the past: “Memory is a wonderful thing if you don’t have to deal with the past”.…

Past Lives 2023
Past Lives - one of the best films I've watched so far this year. So beautiful and bittersweet that I’d even cried.
It was heartwarming to see how three adults overcome physical and emotional distance, pain, heartbreaks, “what if’s” and, at the same time embrace the experiences, love and longing for each other - in the most mature way.
There were many quiet shots with little dialogues, underlined with the melanchonic music that touched my heart. The pacing was good, not too slow or too fast cuts.
It’s an absolute must-see.
