The Wind Rises 2013
A near flawless exploration of creativity of engineering while avoiding overt idealism to the profession and the on-going World War II. In contrast to Miyazaki's earlier works, the theme and tone in The Wind Rises exhibits a significantly greater sense of maturity and grounded realism. The ability to encompass a man's hopes and dreams with it's peaks and valleys while being smothered in fantastic art makes for a very beautiful film.
