  script was incredibly stilted but there were moments (when delivering comedic lines about chickens escaping) that felt well delivered? but the comedy takes away from the intent of the movie. pales in comparison to the likes of ‘get out’.

  so here's what i learned from experiencing this:
  - that i had incorrectly conflated this with bowie's labyrinth (this is really silly)
  - that this isn't a kids movie
  - that violence makes me squirm real bad
  - that i love fairytales and fantasy and this will never change, no matter my age

  yeah ofc someone like me (major over the garden wall enthusiast) would enjoy this - although this stressed me out so much oh my god

  poetic and chaotic. i particularly appreciated the catharsis being physically shared with nature / taken to a foreign place (similar to 'in the mood for love' i think) - real forlorn type shit!!

  this movie is so so self aware which made it all the more hilarious. i, like every bitch tried to find ruby cruz’s ig but she doesn’t have one so the world is ending and me and joana are killing ourselves

  AND i appreciated charlixcx on the music but do i think there could be some boygenius in there yeah
