Inglourious Basterds 2009
I have absolutely no idea why this film got the letterboxd score that it has.
This is a standard "Nazi = bad" movie that tries to be funny with absurdity. Yes, some scenes can be considered as well-executed but they in no way salvage the movie from being a complete waste of time.
I feel as if Tarantino thought to himself: "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if I shot a cinema hall full of people with an AK47 and then burnt them alive?". And then came up with the Nazi excuse, same as the psychos in other letterboxd reviews who enjoy the film.

Genesis 2.0 2018
Unique film with unique shots of Mammoth tusk hunters that you won't see anywhere else.
This is a 2 hour documentary that is surprisingly easy to follow until the end. The story is engaging, scenes are very cinematic, ideas brought up are concerning.
I had a chance to be at the public premiere with the director of the Siberia part of the movie, Maxim Arbugaev. His comments and stories of certain shots were the best part of the experience. Definitely needs a making-of.
