  Gave this the benefit of the doubt against my better instincts, as Apple take the quality over quantity approach. My mistake.

  Two snipers romcomming against the backdrop of a gorge infected with cgi something or other. Forgettable tripe, and a big step down for the three main actors.

  Excited for some relatively big budget *original* sci-fi at first.

  But right after the point where they quipped about his weapon being a lightsaber, yet before the Terminator & Face/Off references, something was ringing faint bells. I think it was during the Endor forest chase but with the hoverboards from Back to the Future that I realised this is it - the movie written by an algorithm has finally landed.

  Is this better or worse than a movie created by focus…

  The Last Stop 2017

  After reading through the excellent true-story webcomic elan.school/ today, I followed it up with some perspective by watching this documentary.

  As an event it's astounding. As a documentary, I would recommend the shared link above as a better way to digest the story - on your own time, and digs more into the goings-on and effect on a child's mind.

  Still worth a watch.
