  You can’t use subtlety if you have nothing to be subtle about, Sergio. Leone once again proves how little he cares about telling a gripping story and throws all his weight over Clint Eastwood’s squinting eyes and smoke-puffing mouth. There is still some salvagable material all around, such as the relationship between the two protagonists (though a bit superficial) and some aspects of the cinematography.
