Irreversible 2002
It took me seven years to address Irreversible. I’ve heard of it years ago and dreaded watching it because of the content. Today, decided to finally watch it.
The subject matter about time destroying all things is profound. I can give Irreversible credit for that. Despite that, I had a very hard time watching this not only because of the disturbing content, but because of the movie using SA as a plot device to advance a male-led “rape-revenge” narrative. 1948 - Remember, Remember Not 2023
Netta Shoshani manages in 1948 - Remember, Remember Not to create a striking portrait of the 1948 Palestine War. Novocaine 2025
Went in with extremely low expectations, and I was pleasantly surprised. This isn’t a breakthrough in action filmmaking, but a very good time nonetheless. Special shoutout to the folks who did makeup here – you guys knocked it out of the park. This has gore on par with extreme horror movies!!!

The Monkey 2025
My expectations were a bit too high (expected this to be a modern equivalent of Evil Dead 2, which is one of my all time favorites), but this was still a wild and fun ride. It’s filled with tons of greats gags and even better kills. Great to see unabashed splatter on the big screen. The second half kind of falls apart, but it’s still overall a great time. Highly recommended for comedy horror fans, just don’t go expecting the next Braindead.
