Do you want an exciting naval adventure? Look no further. My only regret is that I didn’t get to witness this spectacular film in a theater.
Great performances all around. Intriguing set design. The story was unfortunately lacking depth. The main character, portrayed as a student of theology introduces the promise of what would be an interesting story but instead leads us down a sociology 101 hole. The rug was pulled too soon. The writers could have done something really interesting here but got bored of the project before finishing and yada yada yahwehed the rest of the script into nothingness.
I used to live in Groton, Ct just a few minutes south of Mystic. While there I volunteered every Sunday at the Mystic Seaport Museum of the Sea. This is one of those feel good movies that brought back a lot of nostalgia for that time in my life. A lot of the outdoor shots used in the film were shot in and around the museum. Including the train station and the town hall. Fun fact, there isn’t a train…
Do you love terribly delightful C- rated Gore? If you answered yes then this is the movie for you! These kids put a lot of work in this steaming pile of a soup sandwich, and it shows. The terrible acting warms your soul with tearful laughter. I may never again gift myself the pleasure of watching this movie once more before I pass.
