A Real Pain 2024
Deft, tender handling of some serious subject matter. The crackling, manic nature of the mid-adventure dialogue rendered the somber moments, when nothing at was uttered, all the more powerful.
Exceptional writing, casting, and execution. One of the very best actor-turned-director debuts ever.
Benji and David are such hyper-specific, fully fleshed-out people, yet remind me of severañ men I have grown up around. Deeply affecting without ever approaching a whiff of melodrama.

plenty fun & wacky Denzelery, although it’s the first film I can recall to feature mediocre, forgettable Denzelery as well…
Besides the baboon squabble, I found this film to be so very dull, which is wild, given how ostensibly perky & meaty it is.
