gonna start carrying corn in my purse for self defence
also, that moment when steven goes “ooo!” when he gets his corn is underrated. i love it when comedies include quiet ‘throw-away’ bits of dialogue, for me those little moments really enhance my immersion to the film world and its humour. additionally, it made that shot of the dirt covered corn on the floor even more devastating and hysterical.

enjoyable, but i feel like we sped right through the story, resulting in important plot points to be rushed. particularly with lydia and mr wickham, as their elopement kind of just happened and was quickly resolved. for me, this weakened the emotional weight of mr darcy’s grand gesture and ultimately, the lead up to elizabeth and darcy getting together.
