  Couldn't imagine a movie being "3 hours" and "fast pace" at the same time before I watched Oppenheimer. Its amazing sound effects are worth me to watch it again to analyze several scenes after it's available online.

  Oldboy 2003

  The story itself is not that impressive to me (for so many similar stories have been created in these twenty years) but the way the director tells it is. My favorite sequence is the part Oh-Daesu recalling his middle school memories. We are able to see his past and present wandering in the empty school and looking for the truth. An interesting image in it is that the knees as a gate starts and ends the scene.

  I don't usually enjoy movies that put funny and serious things togther, but OldBoy achieves a wonderful balance between them.
