  Came for the 70s TV aesthetic, stayed for the 70s practical effects. Late Night with The Devil wanders a little from the found footage compilation premise, which takes me out of it a bit but ultimately is fine. Masterful buildup of and release of tension — I found myself unable to exhale until they cut to commercial. I’m shook! Annual Halloween banger.

  They’ve spent 70 years trying to do this again and they haven’t quite gotten it right. So heartfelt and thoughtful that it feels wrong to call it an action movie. So technically impressive that it’s shocking this was made in 1954. Mifune one of the coolest ever on camera.
