so good, this movie feels like magic
you know those short films that are just so pretty and weird but they only last for 10 minutes? this kind of felt like a bunch of short films stitched together and one scene can have so little to do with the next
but then they do
and it’s magical
that’s probably one too many severed fingers than i’d wanna see within 2 hours
such an amazing, subtle portrait of the irish civil war
an unexpecting ode to pascal, free will, & theology in the sea of rohmer’s deft, erudite dialogue
makes me wonder how often we run into strangers without realizing these encounters
