ive gotta say, having seen A Short Film About Killing beforehand, this really benefited from having a version that’s 30 mins longer cus it does feel a little rushed - but maybe that’s just cus i’m used to it being slightly slower paced
obvs this still hits all the same amazing highs as A Short Film About Killing, but i would say overall the full length version is better imo
a really interesting exploration of mortality and spirituality
love the almost hypnotic direction which sets a really unique tone that’s hard not to get into
overall amazing film
sent one of my mates a youtube link to watch this and ended up just watching the whole thing anyway hahaha
honestly just as good the second time and one of the best of the 70s
it’s kind of crazy how watchable it is despite how dense a lot of the dialogue is, but the incredible editing just makes it work
