similar problem to with Dekalog V where i do just feel like the full film is superior, but this is still incredible and up there with some of Kieslowski’s best

it’s fucking crazy this was made in 1950 cus even 75 years on this still stands as one of most effective explorations of masculine sexuality i’ve ever seen
i love how it uses many conventions of traditional French cinema in its concept, really enhancing its more subversive elements
