I didn't understand this movie until the last 20 minutes or so. The cinematography was beautiful, Barry Keoghan's acting was too real, and the location was really cool. Definitely wouldn't watch again, as all the "best" parts could be seen on TikTok.

Hands down amazing movie for any age above 8 or 9 I wanna say. While it is about Barbie and Ken, dolls that young children play with, there are mature and heavy topics that I don't think they'd understand. I love the fact that it's centered around women empowerment. I knew the world is pretty male dominated, but seeing it on screen, through acting and score, really opened my eyes. HUGE Reneé Rapp fan- I really only went for her. What people seem to forget is that this is a musical that is derived from the musical by Tina Fey, which is inspired by the 2004 film. Of course it's not going to be exactly like the film. While this musical was interesting on the screen, I think it might do better just belonging on the stage. I did feel like it was trying too hard to be modernized. At times, it seemed like the queerness was too forced which disappointed me. Sorry Reneé :(

A Walk to Remember 2002
I'm a film major and I don't watch movies but this is by far my favorite ever. I've seen it numerous times and it never gets old. It has an adorable story of two totally different characters and comes with an unexpected twist. Beautiful coming of age story that isn't as cliché as you'd think.
