How can a movie be so loud but so hard to hear at the same time. Despite that the story itself is great. The buildup to the test is fantastic. The betrayal of his peers is fantastic. The beginning is awfully slow for me though. I also think the 3 hours felt like a word count to hit rather than a need for the film. The performances were all amazing, the visuals were amazing. The budget of this movie is pretty small so it’s hard to hold it to insane standards. Makes sense that no one else tried to tell this story, it’s hard to tell. You have to respect the effort and at least attention it’s bringing to the issue. It does struggle as a movie (which I expected). The one liners are hard to take serious and some things can come off disingenuous. Also I get the point of comic relief but…
