Bradley Cooper majorly steps up his performance compared to that of his directorial debut. Artistically as a combination of moving images this film is a masterpiece to watch, carefully disposing it’s long shots in order to further understand its central protagonists. On first viewing I found film visually imposing for this very reason - as it struck me as a young director still desperate for approval. However on second viewing I found it’s visual style more concise with the films…
