Well coat me in oil and let’s kiss the devil’s behind, because this movie rips. Stunning production and costume design, gorgeous use of lighting and shadows and just so much fun. And honestly, as horrified as audiences may have been back then, you don’t have prolonged sequences of demon births and those milk churning shots without knowing you’re making a riot of a film.
