This movie rocked my socks off

Watched both versions, the theatrical and directors cut. Main differences are in the directors cut we actually hear the distress call, Lambert slaps Ripley after she doesn’t let them in which was not in the theatrical, and the entire Dallas “Kill me” egg scene only takes place in the directors cut. Kinda interesting they contain differences beyond things being cleaned up.

The main thing got me and always does is set pieces, the movie just looks great. I’d love to walk through an Alien themed haunted house of the ship.

This movie was like watching a POV of someone drowning cause they couldn’t afford a steady shot of a CGI shark. Honestly just hilarious they waited 10 years to make a 3rd film way worse than the first 2. I’m assuming they just threw the Open Water name on it last minute for more traction. Once again features the dumbest fucking people ever as well. I could not stand Megan.

This was like dumb & dumber buy a yacht, with a series of completely unnecessary deaths just chalked up to stupidity. I mean why the fuck did anyone have to die over this shit, especially when you see how they do l eventually get back on the boat. Still better than the first one somehow.

This is basically home video quality scenes with a bunch of random B roll of sharks they scrounged together. Nothing really happens in this movie, there isn’t any side story so we basically just watched two people float for an hour. The ending is a strange choice too. Gotta love the New Yorker who forgot his snorkel mask and the fact this is on blu-ray for some ridiculous reason.
