    Watched with the the youngest today when storms canceled our afternoon plans. What a nostalgia rush! This movie was my childhood dream scenario. Without a doubt! Kids today do not get films like this. 

    A couple random notes after my first complete viewing as an adult. 

    - I don’t know how John Williams was persuaded to score SpaceCamp, but the music is glorious

    Charming. 

    Watched the original cut thanks to fan preservationists who recreated it using the cut scenes from the Criterion Blu-ray and the old Image DVD (both of which I own). Hopefully the original cut will be properly released in the future. 

    Highly recommend the Criterion disc regardless. It has to be one of the best-looking silent releases I’ve seen.

    A visual wonder. I couldn’t dream up a better way to portray this world on screen. Barbieland here is a delightful spectacle and infinitely clever.

    I have to say that if I never see Will Ferrell in another role like this again, it’ll be too soon - and I generally like him but here, he seemed to be playing a slightly more “grown up” version of Buddy the Elf. Huge misfire. He annoyed me every time he was on screen. Ferrell…
