I saw a few different short descriptions of what Death Of A Unicorn was at its core. Ome of them was "Eat the rich for babies". I can understand where that's coming from, given there's a standard of humor that is built on classism within this. But the one that stood out to me (no surprise) was "Jurassic Park with unicorns". Aster's gorgeously shot, fully lit commune horror follow up to Hereditary. An achievement to be so brightly filmed and so haunting at the same time. Walking out of a 10am July 4th showing of this into full sunlight was an experience I won't forget. Elite grief horror.

How it can change its style and mix different themes and…

What an absolute shitshow of horror nostalgia and indulgence. Oz Perkins is a complete goon that deserves his recognition. Horror and comedy have an unholy matrimony that I hope endures with things just like this.

Oh yeah, Stephen King and James Wan are here too. It's a sicko party.

The Monkey is pure toasted cheese, bubbling with an energy that was a Goosebumps book come to life for adults, soaked in slapstick 80s horror and that difficult spot of…
