I was too busy waiting for something ‘big’ to happen, to realise the true meaning and story of Aftersun. As soon as the credits roll, the realisation hits so hard. It hits hard due to its relativity of grief and depression. Reading between the lines and going back over scenes in your head sparks the understanding of the cruel truth. One of the few films that just leaves you in your seat for a good while after.

“You look lonely, I can fix that”

A slow but rewarding watch. But wow, probably the best looking film of all time. Every single shot is a cinematic masterpiece and that’s putting it lightly, hats off to Roger Deakins, no wonder the bloke won an Oscar for this. The visuals and sound design, for this dystopian future is completely unmatched. I actually prefer the predecessor from the Blade Runner films, which is a huge compliment to 2049, as the original is…

A refreshing WW2 resistance film from a Norwegian take, overall a good watch.

The only scenes I didn’t enjoy, were the student scenes, I understand the reasoning behind them, I just thought they were odd and executed poor.

Although it’s always nice to hear some Radiohead😼

I don’t know if I’m overwhelmed or underwhelmed, so let’s just go for whelmed..

A film I think would potentially go up in rankings after a re-watch, but we’ll have to see. For now, I’ll just give Mulholland Drive it’s props in oddity. The music was cool as fuck, and a proper mind fuck from Lynch.

The final film in the Ti West x Mia Goth trilogy certainly does not lack style but offers little else. Disappointing from Ti West and not a touch on Pearl or X.

A fun cast overall, Elizabeth Debicki, Giancarlo Esposito and not to mention this isn’t a Mia Goth fanpage anyway.
