Portrayed as a good guy gone bad, but it's more like a bad guy mistaken for good 😵💫.
loved the acting, hated the pitchy singing - they should have pulled a lip-singing Bollywood special.
These rise to fame films are very risky because you need to give it that surrealism. James Mangold overlooked that a bit for me in this one...

This film does well to point out a certain kind of flaw, found in certain kinds of relegion. Concerning a certain kind of corporal punishment, done in a certain kind of way. Such unnecessary punishment is thought to be dealt out by certain kinds of parents, because they believe it will have a certain kind of positive effect on their children.
While growing up I unfortunately was a victim of such an abusive system. This movie strengthens my conviction that certain kinds of religions which practice such physical abuse towards others has no place in society.

A very well balanced film that shows how important a social network is even in the toughest of environments. At the same time many stereotypes of prisoners are debunked and you come to realize that everyone deserves a second chance. Something I particular liked was the acting club which taught the inmates how to understand their emotions which in turn changed their behavior and the decisions they made in daily life. I finally understand the idea behind the psychotherapy named drama therapy.
Brilliant film, I have been going through a mentally challenging time, but I forgot to see, to hear, to smell, and to feel all the purpose in life I already have.
This film made me think of something I onced hear.
Sometimes the journey can be more beautiful then the destination.
Don't forget to enjoy the greatest journey of them all. The journey of life.
