  It becomes repetitive and boring mid-way through. Full of primitive points about the gender conflict, and of role reversals. And then add a bunch of undeveloped points about death, capitalism, etc., and you get a movie that disappoints you when you haven't expected much.

  But then it's a Hollywood movie on feminism, so I guess that's that. (:

  isn't this hypocritical and self-defeating in the end? criticizing the destructive male and consumer culture with an exploitative movie just doesn't work well. gotta go beyond the norms of hentai genre to reflect on the toxicity of the embedded culture. looks like an attempt to give critique while still makin' the buck from the adressees.

  quite a shame 'cause the plot and the composition of themes are undeniably sophisticated, and the movie is quite perceptive overall, esp for that time. the picture could've been crispier though.
