  Not the biggest or boldest movie of the year, but probably the tightest and most well-executed. Super engaging from start to finish and lots of timely ideas that aren’t particular novel but are still worth preaching.

  When I was a kid, I took drama classes with this eccentric drama teacher. Every year he would write and direct an original stage play for his students to perform. He was a passionate, creative man, so his scripts were always wildly ambitious. He dreamt up these lavish, intricate stories with important overarching political themes and ideas, with 40+ characters (because he had 40+ students). He'd give us elaborate set pieces and fight scenes, and toss in pop cultural references…
