  The Wolverine 2013

  “you can't pretend shit isn't happening when it is, princess, unless you want to die.” 

  watching this right after finishing the comic it was based on was pretty neat! 

  the highs are so high in this - the cinematography, the martial arts choreography, a relatively grounded narrative not about saving the whole planet, and the beauty of japan. 

  but the lows are so lows - mostly rooted in viper and the silver samurai and concentrated in the third act. 

  if you can deal with  a rough  finish, this picture is a pleasing glass of whiskey not unlike the ones our friend logan so often enjoys.
