Summer of Sam 1999
Ironically, It’s about the victims not the murderer. It focuses more on punk lifestyle, nudity and sex than the actual Son of Sam serial killer.
I’d also argue there was a bit of Scorsese influence in this - Italian- American characters, The Bronx, and street gangsters here and there
Moral lesson is don’t go to a swingers club. Fuck around and find out. Also punk Adrien Brody was something

Sound of Metal portrays the plights of Ruben, a heavy metal drummer as he looses his hearing.
Riz Ahmed’s ability to draw the audience empathy with his performance should be applauded, definitely getting an Oscar nomination. It was emotional on so many levels.
It begs the question to be answered - Was Ruben’s addiction the drugs, music or his relationship with Lou?Proper credit to Marder and his outstanding cast who just gave us the sound of silence in this masterpiece. Sound of Metal is without a doubt the best film I’ve seen so far this year
