  also i absolutely should’ve seen this in theaters and not at home on peacock with a low-battery smoke alarm chirping in the background and my low-media-literacy dad muttering as he narrates every single detail as if he’s a descriptive audio track 🫠 def would’ve enjoyed this more! also not a great dad movie (depends on the dad i guess but yknow what i mean)! didn’t realize it was gonna be horny… 😞

  more father-son bonding while my dad heals from an injury! nobody asked, but he was taking an uber back home one evening from the hospital where my mom is currently being kept, and the driver apparently made a reckless turn into my dad’s community and i guess got t-boned by an onrushing car that was also probs driving recklessly (gotta love florida drivers! the most beautiful place wasted on the dumbest fucking people!). this of course happens the ONE time…

  a cringe-but-can’t-look-away satire of liberal white guilt with a terrifying and baffling nightmare of a finale that i won’t soon forget. incredible acting all around. everyone brought their A game to this. easily my favorite Nathan Fielder project.

  watched this for free at the grand opening night for LOOK Cinemas W57th (formerly a short-lived luxury Landmark theater in a cursed part of town). absolutely loved it (the movie, not the theater). so insanely charming and funny and touching. reminded me of Scott Pilgrim, but with a heart of gold. one of my faves of 2023 easily.
