  While it's not a bad film, it definitely feels like "we have Midsommar at home".

  Edebiri is great as always, there's some good moments such as the 'mid as fuck' speech, but overall a bit less than I was expecting. I could totally see and believe Malkovich as a cult leader though.

  I think I liked this more the second time around, even knowing the plot. The sound design and cinematography are both great and it was a total snub that it didn't get nominated for either at the academy awards.

  The closing night film of the 45th Aspen Film Festival, presented as a Surprise Screening.

  This film is excellent and very enjoyable throughout. I feel like I'm going to be thinking about it for some days to come and I'll only come to like it more in that time.

  Strikingly funny and a pleasure to watch and experience. Mikey Madison is a force and I love her character.

  We also ran into a Mark Eidelstein doppelganger at a bar after the screening!

  This is a wild and imaginative film that fully captured me with everything from the set pieces and design to the score to the humor and actors. Emma Stone delivers a performance that should be a strong showing at the Academy Awards.

  Definitely one of my favorites of 2023, getting in there right at the end!
