  The Power 1984

  Honestly not terrible fx, which is more than I expected. There's some cool stuff with the lead guy in a dark room, with smoke supposedly coming off of him, then a lot of quick movement/editing. That plus a fair amount of the gore fx seemed quite competent.

  Odd film in which Jean Harlow sexually assaults every man she sees, with no real perceivable goal. Every man is, of course, turned into a simpering fool because, you know, just because she's proven herself to be evil, you can't say no if a woman is throwing herself at you, right? Just wouldn't be cricket.

  Just an utterly bizarre film. It's like I'm watching a movie about humans made by aliens.
