  There is no director in the world like Miyazaki.

  Eccentric, heavy, fun. The visuals were absolutely mad, top tier stuff in there. It was a bit convoluted in English (I watched the dub!), so I’d be keen to see it in Japanese to see if it’s more sensible with subtitles. I feel like it was very much a “your own interpretation” sort of a ride. It felt really relatable in a way, and absolutely chaotic.

  It’s actually genuinely so difficult to make anything TMNT related that I don’t enjoy. This is no exception but I’m just telling you I’m super biased.

  The turtles were great of course - less one dimensional than some previous iterations and very much young teenage turtles instead of what felt like 16-17 year olds in other media.

  Yeah alright. This can’t really be described as a film so much as something you should experience. Isolate yourself in a dark room, deprive yourself of whatever senses you can, and just immerse yourself into the movie and that’s when it’ll do it’s job.
