Sat on this for a bit… honestly I actually liked it more than I didn’t but I have a lot of problems with it.
Standout was Nicholas Hoult as Lex he was perfect. David Corenswet was also perfect.
I was really enjoying the first half and the way they were setting up the world and characters. But then the second half got to CGI heavy, silly and convoluted. Did not like ultra man or engineer.
It’s worth a watch and I am somewhat excited for the future.

Gareth stop trying with your characters. One of the biggest myths in film history is that you have to make the audience care about the characters for them to be invested….. you don’t… not always…. STOP TRYING
Like this more than the last one... Mainly because of the immersive sequences and it was cool to see it in IMAX.
But so much goddamn exposition! Way too much plot that they have to know like nobody gives a fuck. So why waste time on that just get from point A to point B as simply as possible. That what these movies should be, and what great action movies do well.

Saw this cause my mother wanted to go to grand lodge and I got popcorn candy and chicken strips. The food was pretty good the theater never fails to serve decent food. Marvel fails yet again to deliver a memorable movie but it really was just background noise while munched on all these sweet and savory treats.
I was really digging the first 40 minutes when it was just tension and the characters were having debates about theology. That was really well done. Then it kind of delves into generic horror territory that I’ve seen a thousand times since 2018. Honestly, it’s not really because of the script, but because of the filmmaking.
