God's Own Country 2017
absolutely cannot believe i watched this at 12 years old, not even because of the graphic sex and animal carving stuff but because i am shocked that i had the attention span at that age to randomly sit down and watch a 100 minute slow burn film about a farm in rural england.
anyways upon rewatch it’s still pretty solid, + josh o’connor pre-challengers is a treat!! NEED to rewatch challengers soon…..

Everybody Rides the Carousel 1975
a really really special and unique piece of animation. i really loved how it portrayed aging as a process of layering rather than changing from one thing to another. you build on top of yourself as you get older and become a product of everything you've learned during different rides on the carousel. i don't think all of the segments were equally engaging, i kind of drifted in and out at times, but i quite enjoyed this all in all :)
