  For nearly its entire runtime, Conclave is slow, patient, and methodical— Michael Clayton for Catholics if you will. It builds tension and rhythm with a quiet precision of script and shot, nothing overemphasized and stacks of subtext which made me feel like I was being treated as an adult! I quite liked this! Too much modern Cinema spells out re-emphasizes the plot either to make sure it's on the right side of History or explicit enough for you to follow…
