  one must imagine esti and ronit, far from home and some time in the future, brought back together…surrounded by love and the life they’ve built…happy at last.

  i always think of oomf’s review…“love is real and love endures despite it all and love makes you brave”…and it does. it really does…

  rewatching this on valentine’s day like an insane person <3

  and i’m supposed to strive for heterosexuality and traditional values as an ideal……right….

  biggest most torturous eye roll of my life…a miserable slog of a film that i was really hoping i would actually like despite the mixed reviews as a lover of weird uncomfortable overly complex media…

  this is what happens when we let insufferable men (character and director) get away with thinking they’re geniuses for putting out contrived incoherently-scripted dogshit and calling it high art because “guys omg it’s a metaphor get it and it upset you because it’s supposed to that means he’s a genius”……….IT REALLY DOESN’T GUYS…AT ALL……

  this was not a movie…..

  will never break into or be looked at fondly as part of the lesbian media cultural zeitgeist because it is an unfunny, poorly made, cringe-inducing, “man search girl-on-girl on pornhub”-ridden inauthentic piece of stupid inside joke 7th grade boy slop that is so unrelatable to and clearly not by or for the demographic portrayed in the “movie”  in any way, and for that reason is completely unable to land at all…like i actually kind of wish I could scrub it from my brain 😭…leave the lesbians alone please god….don't waste your money and just go rewatch bottoms 😭
