it was not amazing but it was almost.
the dialogue had a realistic feel, which i usually appreciate, but it wasn’t sharp enough to offset the slow pacing. i kept waiting for the characters to engage in a memorable, snappy exchange, but it never happened—it just dragged. and vanya? don’t even get me started. anora was a refreshing character, well-developed beyond just her job, with no clichéd sob story, but vanya felt flat and uninteresting. i couldn’t figure out why…
