  A very subtile and tender film about people in mostly bleak surroundings. I would undoubtedly consider it as a Sapphic themed film although there is no kiss and no explicit love scene. Instead there are enough other scenes displaying the love between the two women, expressed in honest words, longing looks and hand holding. And given the circumstances of the time and social circumstances, this is a lot. The restrained approach fits well with the overall tone of the movie.…
