The Brutalist 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Though a very impressive and considered deconstruction of the "american dream" I think that the rape scene in combination with the ending of Part 2 was a little excessive and overdone. Yes, we all know that rich people whose only goal in life is to own often are plagued by a fragile ego. BUT DID IT TAKE RAPE TO JUSTIFY AND SHOW THAT HARRISON'S GOAL IS TO KEEP LASZLOS SELF PERCEPTION LOW?
But overall still a great movie with precisely picked cinematography to reflect on the brutalist ways of laszlo. Many metaphors throughout that reflect the epilogue.
