  i held back tears at multiple times during this movie because how am i (an Asian girl with anxiety who had a rough teenage experience and impossibly high standards for herself) supposed to see this and not feel represented? wonderful film and i'm not quite sure why some parents feel as if the metaphorical portrayal of puberty is inappropriate for kids; puberty is something that all kids/tweens/teens eventually go through, so why not educate them in a humorous, relatable way?…
