  Brilliant commentary on the falsehoods of the American Dream and how capitalism encroaches upon artistry backed by stunning cinematography, a beautiful score, and Adrien Brody’s best performance ever. Impressed with Corbet’s beautiful direction, storytelling and the way he made this film mostly earn its three and a half hour runtime. One of the years best, assuredly.
