  Grief isn't planned. It isn't logical. We go through trauma abruptly and sometimes all we can do is reflect on the people that made us who we are today for the better and carry them with us.

  Devastating. The feeling and horror of the truth behind this film is truly overwhelming. Scorsese clearly know he's unable to portray the enormity of this tragedy and that he's worried he's not the person to do so. Without spoiling much, he finds a way to acknowledge this that's truly elegant. So many of the evils in this film are committed casually, with the excuse that history will not remember it, because it is written by those left standing.

  Words are difficult to find for this picture. It hurt my heart like no other.
