    i decided now that i’m into basketball (unlike the first time i watched ‘uncut gems’) that I wanted to rewatch this movie and see if my opinion changed at all. i can confirm that being into basketball changes nothing about the experience but I did enjoy it a little more on second watch nonetheless

    this is now my second review expressing and third time thinking that toni collette is actually utterly terrifying. why is she so scary? her character in this movie is going to haunt my dreams until my final day.. as will anamaria vartolomei’s terrible line delivery every single time she was on screen.
    outside of those two jarring factors, i completely loved this film, just uninterrupted enjoyment from beginning to end. I found that it just had such a perfect balance…
