  A bit long, but a lot of the emotional beats worked for me here and it was a nice twist on the ghost in a haunted house story that we’ve all seen a million times.

  Gintama is and has been my favorite anime of all time for over half a decade. It’s been a long wait for the manga and anime to finish, but this movie managed to deliver everything that makes the series great to me.   Saw it again today and wow it’s even better a second time. Despite being long (though not much longer than most Marvel films) this film feels so full to me.

  Every shot of this movie is beautiful which everyone else has said, which is no surprise given the crew working on it. It was also so refreshing to see a comic book movie that’s taking its time with the plot slowly unraveling the mystery bit by bit. Only one scene…
