This former Tumblr employee was sharing some insight they have as they are still in contact with current employees. Essentially it sounds like they're laying everyone off and there's not enough people employed to run the site for much longer but who really knows what's going to happen — I think most of us are just making a new home elsewhere on the chance this could actually happen. I don't have any intention of leaving unless the site gets shut down.

Aw hi thank you so much! I mentioned in this post I'm going through a little health scare at the moment that will require surgery. I'll find out more this week when I have my consult. Obviously inspiration to write absolutely plummeted but I'm trying to find it again, if only to help distract myself. I had a hard week but I did the right thing and reached out to my doctor for some help and I've started some medication to ease the stress/anxiety surrounding this whole thing.
