Little bit of info
Hullo! I'm Lou and I like a lot of things.
First and foremost, my greatest passion is writing of all kinds, but my typical go-tos are historical fiction, horror, poetry, short stories, academic papers, and research/nonfic. Here's my portfolio, if you're so inclined.
Current WIP:
The Sepulcher, a character-ish driven historic horror fiction about an early 19th century English commerce ship that finds something out in the middle of the Atlantic. This ruthless force warps minds and realities, and it knows you very well.
Themes: family, love, religion, masculinity, death, isolation, identity, class
(Currently not posted in full anywhere, but my tag #The Sepulcher has little bits for now)
Other than that, my great loves, topics, and interests are as follows:
- The Wild West/cowboys/American folk heroes
- Philosophy (particularly Stoicism and Epicureanism)
- Boats of any and all kinds (and, of course, pirates)
- The 50s/rockabilly culture
- Social issues; human and animal rights
- Metal and punk rock
- Linguistics, history/anthropology of language
- Film (Spike Lee, Quentin Tarantino, Kathryn Bigelow, The Coen Brothers, Greta Gerwig, John Carpenter, and Stanley Kubrick are some of my favorites)
- Making friends and hugging strangers
Trans rights and free Palestine. Have a great day!
