Not concerned with blog consistency or a curated online presence so posting is sporadic and uncoordinated. Current interests: literature, especially Brideshead Revisited and the Secret History + gothic fiction in general, The Beatles, postwar British history, Twin Peaks, Severance, postpunk, and writing (this was meant to be a writeblr once upon a time).

Please don’t spam like/reblog!

crazy thang is whenever someone makes a post talkng about how xyz thing annoys them someone will always go 'oh so we're not even allowed to do [thing] anymore??' like no you literally can. that person just will not like you. if that is enough to stop you then its not that youre not allowed its that you are not capable of existing outside of the approval of others

why are you asking for permission. begging? are you a dog or a man

there it is

“No THIS is the woman in the public eye who actually deserves to be picked apart and made a mockery of, I promise 🥺 and it definitely has nothing to do with an arbitrary rivalry between another woman in the same industry”

I don’t think the amount of time some people spend on their hatred for Chappell roan is healthy

Crucify me but I cannot get behind haterism in general either. You are NOT going to be a happy person if you spend more time thinking about and defining yourself by what you hate.

I don’t think the amount of time some people spend on their hatred for Chappell roan is healthy

Hardest part of writing is accepting that some people will not fucking get it & you just have to like cope with that because over-explaining it just makes it worse

i do think every single "sexuality is so complex and fluid" person is just bisexual. bisexuality is chic and you should be proud!

I have this library book and the end pages are a picture of Piccadilly Circus in the 70s and there’s just a bus that has CIS written on the side? The foremother, or perhaps the enemy

What’s been done to cannibalism in fiction on this site is so sad…

That said a brief foray into tiktok led me to something like “when men make art about cannibalism it’s about capitalism when women make art about cannibalism it’s about sex” which is just so frustratingly reductive and honestly misogynistic imo…the really fantastic thing about incorporating anything ever into fiction is that its meaning is not universal but fluid depending on the context
